Welcome to the Revolution In Second Sight!

In this case, the time has not only come, it’s long overdue. It’s overdue because we’ve found that most people are unwittingly blind to the world around them. This is particularly true of many world “experts” who are responsible for decisions about global ecology, environmental standards, science studies, clinical evaluation and diagnositcs, physical fitness treatment and therapy, and even security screening and detection.

It’s not that they’re insensitive or callous to their environment. It’s just that most of them are unaware of the visionary imaging systems they need to make intelligent decisions about their profession, their technology, or their world. The technology to which we specifically refer is called thermography or thermal imaging. And yes! It’s been around for more than 20 years. But in most cases, it has either been underutilized or so misapplied that is has been dismissed as nascent, inconclusive and worse, a scientific curiosity.

What it really amounts to is a revolution in the making. Because it has the potential to change the way we see our world, to determine its hidden challenges, and to do something about them.

In fact, properly used, nothing can empower us as an informed society better than this “Second Sight” technology. But that can only take place if people truly begin to understand its importance at every level.

It’s often referred to as Second Sight, because it does give us the opportunity to see the world - every aspect of it! - at a level comprised entirely of energy. And energy is most readily perceived at levels that reveal changes in temperature. That’s where the perception gets tricky, because temperature can be recorded superficially on surfaces, or at the molecular level where the true subtext of change occurs. And that’s the difference between true in-depth thermal imaging and everything else that merely passes for it.

If it’s recorded at superficial levels, it’s often viewed as little more than a curiosity at worst and a corrobotation of mathematic measurement at best.

But recorded at molecular levels, it can change the way we see our world - the way we diagnose it, heal it, and design its future.

Fortunately for all of us, there are masters of the technology. And there are some courageous pioneers in the field of thermal imaging who have been making profound differences in the way we can learn to understand our global universe. Being able to share the work of these dedicated professionals, these landmark findings and these breakthroughs in application have become so much of a cause to us that we’ve created a visual communications vehicle to do just that: this magazine.

And it’s subtitled, “The Journal of Second Sight”, precisely because that’s what this publication intends to reveal - the world that affects everything we do. It isn’t visible to the naked eye. And yet it’s based on one irrefutable law of physics: Temperature affects everything. It reflects everything, and inevitably it predicts everything. And yet it does so in a subtext of expression that is not always easy either to read or represent.

In its way intelligent thermography, although it is pure science, is also the art, and as such has its own category. The Art of Science. And like any art form in the pursuit of perfection, thermal image photography has its Rembrandts as well as its rank amateurs.

Beginning with the seminal work of internationally acclaimed thermal image icon Curtis Bennett, The Invisible Quarterly will immediately send you into treacherous dragon-filled skies of global warming and the irrepressible controversy surrounding it. It’s title is “Global Warming: The Real Culprit?” Aware that we are almost geometrically approaching critical mass where our planet’s climate is concerned, this feature article will examine its evident effects and yet put forth its own theory about another major cause. And we’ll reveal some state-of-the-art thermal image photos to do so.

In other thermal articles, we’ll be showing you the exceptional effects that stabilized whole leaf Aloe Vera has thermographically been proven to be effective in the treatment of such conditions as back pain, foot and ankle injury, and razor burns (as well as evidence of its abilities as an agent in vasodilation).

In our article, “Fire and Rain” we’re going to show you how thermal image photography recently proved to be the only way to properly track forest fires (through smoke), and how it may be invaluable as a way to prevent millions of acres of North American forests from burning by means of intelligent “thermal anticipation.”

And future issues (as indicated in our special section of “Hot Shots”) will show how some of our experts have been able to thermographically predict the path of corruptive heat barriers in our waterways, how magnets and Aloe Vera may combine against conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, and test just how pervasively we all might be exposed to radiation from our cell phones.

In our segment entitled, “Pure Magnetism?” we’re going to thermographically examine the use of magnets in a number of conditions such as injuries to feet and ankles and certain aspects of arthritis.

And in all our studies, we emphasize an important philosophical point about this publication: In any of the studies that we sponsor or support, it is not the position of The Invisible Quarterly to propose that we have all the answers. What we are trying to establish is an intelligent dialogue by exposing the involved intelligent reader to a new way of seeing this world we all share and for which we all share some responsibility.

In the belief that dialogue creates action and action spawns results, we believe this publication can have its small say in promoting thermal image technology as a means of helping everyone to make more intelligent decisions about what we all do next - with our health, with our security, with our future and with the gathering storm forming around our fragile global ecology.

No single technology is an answer to all things. But we do believe that there are pieces that complete the puzzle. Properly applied thermography is rapidly proving to be one of them.
